Oleksandr Kuryzhev

I am a DevOps engineer with more than eight years in IT operations and six years building and running cloud-native platforms. I work primarily on Amazon Web Services, with a focus on infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and reliable automation for production workloads.

My background spans Linux system administration, containerized services, and hands-on delivery in an AWS Premier Partner environment. Day to day, I design and maintain pipelines, serverless workflows, backup and monitoring solutions, and the tooling that keeps systems predictable at scale.

What I focus on

  • Cloud (AWS) — compute, storage, networking, serverless, and cost-aware design
  • Infrastructure as code — Terraform and repeatable, reviewable environments
  • CI/CD — build, test, and deploy automation across Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions
  • Kubernetes & GitOps — clusters, Helm charts, and delivery with Argo CD
  • Operations — Docker-based stacks, metrics, alerting, backups, and practical runbooks

Tools & technologies

Technologies I use regularly in production and in the projects documented on this blog:

  • Languages & scripting — Bash, Python
  • CI/CD — Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions
  • IaC & config — Terraform, CloudFormation (where applicable)
  • Containers & orchestration — Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Helm
  • GitOps & delivery — Argo CD
  • AWS services — Lambda, S3, EventBridge, CloudWatch, ALB, IAM, RDS, and related building blocks
  • Observability — Prometheus, Grafana, structured logging, and alert-driven workflows

Certifications

AWS certifications (verified on LinkedIn):

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (2025)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (2023)
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (2022)
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (2022)

DevOps_DayS

This site is where I publish technical notes and tutorials from real projects—automation scripts, monitoring setups, and lessons learned in production. I also maintain Game Server Monitor for Rust, Arma Reforger, DayZ, Minecraft, and Squad, plus a free browser games portal and LLM — a live AI model leaderboard and cost calculator.

My projects

  • 🖥️ Game Server Monitor — Rust, Arma Reforger, DayZ, Minecraft, and Squad server browsers with alerts
  • 🎮 Browser Games — free HTML5 games, playable instantly
  • 🔧 DevTools — online toolkit for developers (JSON, YAML, regex, cron, Base64, and more)
  • 📊 LLM — compare AI model benchmarks, pricing, context windows, and token costs with a live calculator
